Skardu is a city located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, situated at an elevation of 2,438 meters. It serves as the main gateway to the mighty Karakoram Mountain Range. The region is known for its rugged landscape, featuring stark deserts, azure blue lakes, green meadows, and towering mountains. Skardu is surrounded by the mighty Karakoram Range with four peaks over 8,000 meters including K2, the second-highest mountain in the world.
