About This Activity
Deosai National Park, also known as 'The Land of Giants,' is located in the Skardu region of Gilgit-Baltistan. At an altitude of 4,114 meters (13,497 feet), it's the second highest plateau in the world. A jeep safari through this vast wilderness offers an incredible opportunity to experience its unique ecosystem. The plains stretch over 3,000 square kilometers and are home to the Himalayan brown bear, golden marmots, and numerous bird species. During summer, the plateau transforms into a carpet of colorful wildflowers. The jeep safari typically starts from Skardu and takes you through rugged terrain with spectacular views of surrounding mountains and the pristine Sheosar Lake at the heart of the plains.
